Request a PickupHow is a standard laundry order priced?
For standard laundry billed only by weight, multiply the weight in pounds by $1.25. If that amount is below $25, the minimum charge applies. Standard turnaround is approximately 48 hours; pickup and return arrangements are confirmed for your request.
This guide explains The Happy Hamper’s own rates. It is not an average price for every laundry service in Clayton. Compare the per-pound rate, minimum order, included delivery and turnaround together when choosing a service.
What does the $25 minimum mean for a small load?
A smaller load does not remove the minimum. For example, a 10-pound or 15-pound order of standard weighed laundry still has a $25 minimum charge. At 20 pounds, the calculation is 20 × $1.25 = $25.
These examples cover standard laundry billed only by weight. They do not define how separately priced household items are combined with a weighed load. Tell us about those items before pickup so the applicable pricing can be confirmed.
Rush service
$2.00 per pound with a $25 minimum. Approximate turnaround: 12 to 24 hours, only when availability is confirmed before pickup. A request does not guarantee next-day delivery.
Is pickup and delivery included in Clayton?
Yes, for confirmed service-area addresses. The Happy Hamper serves approved addresses in Clayton, Flowers Plantation and Glen Laurel, with other nearby addresses checked individually. A neighborhood name alone does not confirm that your address or preferred date is available.
Read the laundry pickup service area, then send your exact address to check coverage. Countywide service is not promised.
Are comforters and other household items charged by the pound?
The published pricing sheet lists separate item prices for bedding sheets, comforters, standard pillows, throw blankets and machine-washable stuffed animals. Towels, bath mats and bathrobes are weighed as part of a standard load.
Use the current household-item price list and identify separately priced items before pickup. An item’s size and care requirements matter. Do not use a weighed-laundry estimate as a final quote for a mixed order.
Check what belongs in the bag
Items must be suitable for both machine washing and machine drying. Use the laundry pickup preparation checklist to check care labels, empty pockets and prepare accepted items.
