How much does wash, dry and fold laundry service cost?
Standard wash, dry and fold is $1.75 per pound with a $25 minimum per pickup-and-delivery order.
Is pickup and delivery included?
Yes. Pickup and delivery are included for addresses that The Happy Hamper confirms are within the current service area.
How long does laundry service take?
Standard turnaround is approximately 48 hours from pickup. Rush service is approximately 12–24 hours at $2.75 per pound when availability is requested and confirmed before pickup.
Where does The Happy Hamper provide pickup and delivery?
The current service zone is generally within about 20 minutes of Clayton, North Carolina, including nearby parts of Johnston County. Every address is confirmed before scheduling.
Will my laundry be washed with another customer’s laundry?
No. Each household’s laundry is identified and processed separately. Laundry from different customers is not combined in the same wash or dry cycle.
Which detergents are available?
Tide Original liquid detergent and Persil Free & Clear are available. Customers may also provide their own securely closed and labeled detergent or scent booster.
Can you treat stains?
Yes, stain treatment can be requested before pickup. Reasonable care and standard consumer laundry products are used, but complete stain removal cannot be guaranteed.
What items can you wash?
The Happy Hamper accepts machine-washable and machine-dryable clothing, linens and approved household items. Comforters, sheets, standard pillows, throw blankets and some stuffed animals have separate item prices.
What items are not accepted?
Dry-clean-only, hand-wash-only, hang-dry and air-dry items are not accepted. The service also excludes leather, suede, shoes, rugs, weighted blankets, biohazards, pest-exposed items, moldy laundry and items contaminated by hazardous chemicals.
How is the final laundry weight calculated?
Laundry is weighed after pickup. Bags, baskets and packaging are excluded from billable weight. Separately priced items are removed from the standard laundry weight and charged only at their item price.
How do I pay?
Payment is due immediately after delivery. Current payment options are cash, Venmo, or credit and debit card through Stripe.
Does submitting the pickup form confirm my appointment?
No. A request is not confirmed until The Happy Hamper texts you from 919-404-9868 to confirm the address, availability and pickup details.
